FAQs
What if I’m not happy with the editing changes?
As the client, you are responsible for the end product. All editing is done through Track Changes in Word, which means that any change can be accepted or rejected by you. I work with each client, in the time allotted, providing suggestions and corrections to ensure you are happy with the finished result.
How long does an edit take?
Each editing job is unique and length of time taken to edit depends on the scope of work the client requires. You are welcome to submit a query with your requirements to receive a quote.
My work has already been published. Can you represent me?
Sometimes, an author may want an agent after being published. My agency supports authors at every stage of their career and assists with each unique case. Please reach out to see how I may help you.
Do I have to pay my agent or publisher?
There are no upfront or monthly fees to be represented by my agency. A fair publishing deal will not ask you for money to be published.
I've finished my manuscript, what do I do next?
If you would like your work to be considered for representation by my agency, please follow the guidelines on the submission page. I wish you the very best with your submission.
How will I know you've received my submission?
I do not typically acknowledge receipt of each submission, so please assume that I have received your work unless you receive an email bounce-back. If this is the case, please double-check that you have the correct email address.
Do you help with editing or publicity?
I offer stand-alone editing services if you need to avail yourself of these. You can submit a query on the website. Every client represented by the agency receives advice and editorial support to ensure their submission to publishers stands the best chance. I also assist each client with marketing depending on their requirements.
What are you seeking for in a great submission?
I’m looking for a professional query letter that highlights your work’s saleable qualities. Sample chapters need to be polished and error-free. I am looking for unique and fresh storytelling. If you think this sounds like you, then please submit your manuscript for consideration.
Do I need to format my submission in a particular way?
For ease of reading a general rule of thumb is to format manuscripts with double-spacing and utilise standard fonts such as Arial or Times New Roman. I highly recommend a simple layout and to number each page.
